A later article in Rolling Stone magazine suggests that Weather Report opened for Johnny Winter at the Houston Coliseum on May 8. However, contemporaneous newspaper accounts show that Weather Report performed at Cullen Auditorium on the University of Houston campus on that date, and that Leslie West opened for Johnny Winter at the Coliseum.
